The Berks County DA's Office got a tip in January that Bryan Torres, 34, was dealing cocaine out of his Reading home, they said.
A search warrant served at his home on Cotton Street turned up the following on Friday, March 25:- Approximately 120 grams (4.2 ounces) of suspected cocaine, valued at $12,000
- An amount of marijuana packaged for sales valued at $2,000.
- One loaded Anderson Manufacturing 5.56 caliber AR style rifle with two loaded magazines
- A quantity of cash believed to be proceeds from the sales of cocaine and marijuana
- Digital scales, packaging material, and drug paraphernalia related to processing cocaine and marijuana for street sales
- A supply of 9mm ammunition and holsters for handguns
Torres was charged with the following:
- Possession With Intent to Deliver Cocaine/Marijuana
- Possession of Cocaine/Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Torres was taken to the Berks County Sheriff’s Department Central Processing Center where he is awaiting arraignment by the on-duty Magisterial District Judge.
